Switching to solar energy is not only a smart and sustainable choice that can help to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint, it’s also a really easy process. From assessment through to installation and maintenance, we show you what to expect on your journey to solar with us.

Assessment

The first step to solar involves a free energy assessment with one of our specialists. During this assessment we get to know your current energy use, your solar ambitions, and your property in-depth. This allows us to design the perfect solar system for you and your home, which helps to maximise your solar investment in the long run.

Design, permits and approvals

Once you have decided to make the solar switch, we design and plan your perfect solar panel system. We determine the size and type of panels you need, and the highest-best-use position of the panels on your property. We also factor in any additional equipment required such as an inverter or battery. Once we have our design proposal ready, we’re able to provide you with a cost estimate.

While we design your solar system, we also research your property address to uncover any requirements or restrictions applied by your local government. We will communicate any findings with you, and obtain any necessary permits and approvals from your local government, if needed. This process can take several weeks, so factor this into your overall timeline to solar.

Installation

The installation process begins after we finish designing your system and finalising permits and approvals. Our team of specialists will arrange a suitable date and time with you. Installation typically includes the fitting of new solar panels to your roof, connecting these to an inverter or battery, and testing the system to ensure everything is running smoothly. Depending on the complexity of the solar plan for your home, this process can take several days to complete.

Maintenance

Like anything worth having, maintenance is paramount! One of our specialists will provide you with a maintenance schedule for your system and assist with any future upgrades or repairs (should they be needed). In the meantime, it’s important to keep your solar panels clean and to periodically check the system to make sure it’s in working order.

It may take a month or two to carry out this process, but it’ll be well worth it in the long run. Rest assured, our team of specialists are with you every step of the way!
